Controlled atmosphere applications in general is our specialty and we have solutions for oxygen gas concentration measurements ranging from 10-31 barO2 and up to 100 vol% O2. We have a broad portfolio of sensing technologies, including amperometric and potentiometric zirconia oxygen sensing platforms, paramagnetic oxygen sensing and electrochemical oxygen sensing.

The FCX amperometric and PZA potentiometric zirconia oxygen sensing products are established technologies, providing high accuracy, low signal drift and long operational lifetime guarantee. The choice between a FCX amperometric and a PZA potentiometric zirconia sensor is very much dependent on the exact application, and due to our many years of hand-on experience we are able to point to and provide the right solution based on direct communication and consulting with customers worldwide.

The OXYPA paramagnetic oxygen sensing product has the same USPs as the zirconia oxygen sensing products, but in addition a paramagnetic oxygen sensor can measure in an oxygen  gas mixture containing gases that can harm the zirconia sensors. A paramagnetic oxygen sensor is for instance the obvious choice for an oxygen sensor when sulfuric, chlorine or fluorine gases are present in the gas mixture. For Biogas and Landfill gas applications, the OXYPA paramagnetic is recommended for measuring oxygen gas concentrations from below 1 vol%O2 and up to 100 vol%O2

Angst+Pfister Sensors and Power has a very broad range of oxygen electrochemical sensors. There are the classical 4- and 7-series sensors for gas safety transmitters and devices, and there the new long-life type of electrochemical oxygen sensors with operational lifetimes > 5 years guaranteed. The highlights in this series are the PO2ES-103PD digital sensor with a very high resolution and the ES1-O2 sensor, which is based on an polymer embedded electrolyte, thereby allowing for very small sensors to be build.
