MSP-100 series with low leakage current and no-load power consumption

Compact, energy-saving power supplies for medical applications

PEWATRON has launched the Mean Well MSP-100 series in response to the demand for reliable power supplies for medical equipment. The 100W AC/DC switching power supplies meet international medical equipment safety standards (MOOP) as well as class B EMC requirements. Thanks to the low leakage current (<=300µA), the extremely low no-load consumption (< 0.5W) and the low 1U height (38mm), these models meet the high demands that medical equipment applications without patient contact place on power supply quality and safety. The MSP-200 (200W) and MSP-300 (300W) series are available for higher powers.

With the latest high-frequency switching technology, the MSP-100 series devices can reach efficiencies of up to 90% and can be operated with convection cooling to +40°C at full load and +60°C at reduced loads.

The MSP-100 provides surge protection to 300VAC for 5 seconds, reducing the risk of damage from fluctuating mains voltages. Standard functions include, but are not limited to, remote ON/OFF control as well as short circuit protection, overload protection (constant current limitation), overvoltage protection and optional overheating protection. Developed according to the ‘Green Power’ concept, the MSP series devices can be used in energy-efficient medical equipment applications.

The MSP-100 series meets the requirements of medical safety standards for operator protection such as CB, UL and CUL and is ideal for chemical and biological sensors, analysers and diagnostic and laboratory equipment.
