Lower-wattage power for today’s LED applications

The new Mean Well LCM-25(DA) constant-current LED driver

Keeping ahead of increasing demand for lower-wattage LED power supplies and intelligent lighting control, Pewatron has launched Mean Well’s new 25W LCM-25(DA) power supply. The unit is the latest addition to the LCM series of 40W and 60W constant-current power supplies. Thanks to a built-in DIP switch, the output current can be conveniently set to different levels. That ensures superb flexibility and means carrying around multiple versions of the same power supply for various requirements is a thing of the past.

There are two versions of this innovative new power supply. The LCM-25 features a 2-in-1 dimming function for 0-10 VDC or PWM control inputs. The digital LCM-25DA is also equipped with a DALI interface and a pushbutton dimming function, which can dim up to 10 synchronized drivers at once for consistent dimming control of multiple lighting fixtures. The units feature a clever design with input and output connections on the same side of the unit, short-circuit as well as over-temperature protection, a low profile of 23mm, and up to 86% operating efficiency so that free air convection cooling allows operation in ambient temperatures ranging from -30°C to +60°C. The unit accepts 180-277 VAC input with built-in two stage PFC and boasts a Class II design with no frame ground pin.

Both the LCM-25 and LCM-25DA are fully compliant with UL8750, ENEC EN61347-2-13, and EN62384L8750. The LCM-25DA is additionally compliant with IEC62386-101, 102 and 207 norms for DALI lighting control systems. Applications include indoor and outdoor LED lighting applications as well as decorative, office and commercial LED lighting.
