Highly efficient power supplies for a wide variety of applications

The extremely low no-load power consumption IRM series from Mean Well

When it comes to power supplies, high efficiency and excellent reliability are essential. To meet the special requirements of electronic instruments and industrial automation equipment, PEWATRON has launched the new Mean Well IRM series of 5 W to 30 W module-type power supplies. Now also available in 45 W and 60 W models, these power supplies boast an extremely low no-load power consumption below 0.1 W and 90.5 % efficiency (91 % for the 60 W model) in a compact size. The IRM series is the ideal solution for powering electronic instruments and industrial automation equipment. IRM are pcb mountable modules with soldering pins and IRM-ST for chassis mounting with screw terminals.

The entire series has a Class II design (no FG pin) and incorporates built-in filtering components, meaning it fully complies with European standard EN55022 Class B. This product operates across the entire 85 VAC to 264 VAC input range. It features a 94 V-0 flame-retardant plastic case built to effectively protect against shock hazard. It also provides fundamental resistance to dust and moisture.

Thanks to its high efficiency and low no-load power consumption, the series meets worldwide regulations for low power consumption by electronics, including the EU's ErP (energy-related products) standard and the USA's EISA 2007. Applications include handheld electronic devices, factory automation, and industrial electrical and mechanical equipment.
