Differential pressure switch with changeover contact for liquid and gaseous media

Range of adjustment between 40 and 1000 mbar

Differential pressure sensors and pressure switches with flush diaphragms suitable for use with gaseous and liquid media such as refrigerants, water, steam, liquid food and sewage are also an important part of the large Pewatron portfolio within pressure sensing and pressure switching. Common for these differential pressure sensors/switches in the ability to measure small changes in pressure in a high operating pressure environment. In this newsletter the focus is on the 908 pressure switch family with a changeover contact. The robust product finds its application in general process engineering or as flow monitor in piping and heatings installations.

The 908 pressure switch family consists of two pressure set ranges (40-200 mbar and 150-1000 mbar. The 908 pressure switch itself can withstand operating pressures up to 10 bar (bursting pressure > 20 bar). The pressure switching set point can be adjusted on site using an easily accessible adjusting screw. The accuracy of the set point is +/-10% of the pressure switching set point value and the pressure hysteresis is 30 mbar and 100 mbar, respectively.

The pressure ports of the 908 pressure switch are made of brass and have a G ⅛“ female thread. The diaphragm material is made of either NBR, EPDM, silicone or FKM/FPM. The operating product temperature can be between -10°C to + 80 ° C. The electrical connections are AMP flat type plugs (DIN 46244), with dimensions of 6.3 x 0.8 mm and maximum 10 A switching capacity at 250 V. The low current version with gold-plated contacts has a particularly low contact resistance with a maximum current of 100 mA at 24 VAC/VDC. The 908 differential pressure switch itself is only 88.6 mm long and with a diameter of 57 mm. With the attached protective cap, it meets the requirements of protection class IP54. The 908 differential pressure switch is supplied with the IP54 protective cap and with a mounting bracket (L-shape). The service life is designed to have over 1 million operations.
