Low power contactless angle sensor CP-16U
PEWATRON has released the new CP-16U non-contact angular sensor which incorporates the latest tunnelling magneto-resistive (TMR) technology. The CP-16U is a compact, lightweight and very low torque sensor that can be used up to 100°C temperature. It is designed for a range of ±45°, while CP-16U-1 covers a wider range of ±60°. The main advantage of TMR is very low power consumption: only 0.6 mA allows the CP-16U to be used in battery powered systems. Another big advantage is higher output signal than the former MR technologies. The output signal ranges from about 25% Vin to 75 %Vin. Typical applications include thread tension control, valve positioner and paper thickness sensing.
